Chic Enlists Janelle Monae, Elton John For New Album

The upcoming new album from Chic will feature some unexpected collaborations. “Billboard” reports that Nile Rodgers has enlisted both Elton John and R&B singer Janelle Monae to be a part of the group’s first release since 1992. Titled “It’s About Time,” the new album from Chic is expected out this summer. Nile teases that he has another unnamed pop star on his list who he’s trying to lock down, as well. Last month, the first single from the album called I’ll Be There” was released, and featured supermodel Karlie Kloss in its music video.
