The controversial “religious freedom bill” is moving forward in the Indiana legislature. The bill protects business owners who don’t want to provide services for same-sex weddings and more.  (Like the 111 Cakery who refused service to a couple in a very “gay friendly” neighborhood just north of downtown Indy in 2014, that has since closed.) It was a busy day of demonstrations Monday at the statehouse for and against the bill.  It then moved out of a House committee and now heads to the full House. This move is being watched across the country and is making national headlines.
