An ISIS sympathizer from our neighbor next door in the “Buckeye State” told a Cincinnati television station he planned to carry out unthinkable atrocities in the name of ISIS right here inside the United States. The man, Christopher Cornell, 20, called WXIX-TV collect from jail last week in an interview his lawyers tried to keep from being made public. Cornell said he planned to shoot President Obama to death, set off bombs in the Capitol building and gun down innocent people as they fled the bombing.
Federal investigators confirm that Cornell’s confession isn’t just idle talk. They say he reportedly researched how to make pipe bombs, purchased a gun and made plans to travel to Washington, DC before he was taken into custody. Cornell claims to have gotten his orders directly from ISIS terrorist leaders in Syria. At this time, he’s locked up in the Boone County Jail to the south of Indy in Ky.
