anthony_mason_640x427 from iOneAs the eyes of the world turn to Madison Square Garden for this weekend’s NBA All-Star events, the league and the event’s host team are thinking of one of their own. Former New York Knicks player Anthony Mason is in the fight of his life. Mason is said to have suffered a heart attack several days ago and has since had multiple surgeries. On Wednesday, the Knicks sent out a tweet seen below:

The 48-year-old grew up in Queens, played college basketball at HBCU, Tennessee State University, and played in the NBA for 13 years.  The NBA All-Star Game tips off at 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday night. For more on this story, click HERE.
