Anthony Mackie Says Dreadlocks Lead to Racial Profiling

Damn Anthony Mackie, what did dreadlocks do to you?

The “Black and White” actor gave an interesting interview with The Grio, where he touched on timely issues like’Selma‘s Oscar snub and racial profiling. While his comments on “Selma” thrusted the actor into headlines, his views on dreadlocks really hit a nerve with some folks.

“Like my nephew wanted to grow dreadlocks. I’m like fine, I’ll sit you down and I’ll watch The First 48 with you and everybody you see on that show, that’s doing something wrong, they’re black dudes with dreadlocks. So, do you want to be seen as part of the problem or do you want to be an individual?”

Really? 

Interestingly enough, Mackie is promoting a movie about a white grandfather left to raise a Black granddaughter and the child’s paternal family who wants custody.

Anthony Mackie must be a “new Black“ like Pharrell. He clearly subscribes to the belief that Black’s wouldn’t get killed if they dressed a certain way. SMH. We’re guessing Mackie isn’t aware of the cases where people have been killed and it didn’t matter if they had dreads or a fade.

The comedy community has largely been silent about the Bill Cosby rape allegations but Jay Leno minced no words when he was asked about the controversial scandal.

“I don’t know why it’s so hard to believe women. You to go Saudi Arabia and you need two women to testify against a man. Here you need 25.”

Leno made the comments during a Q&A discussion at the 2015 NATPE conference. He also praised the fact that Hannibal Burress‘  joke was able to go viral, noting that many years ago a statement like that would’ve been edited.

We’re glad that someone isn’t afraid to truthfully speak about the Cosby allegations and not dance around them like his former costars.

Nicki Minaj and Safaree broke up nearly 6 months, but the Internet is just now finding out about it. The former couple have exchanged words on Twitter and Safaree detailed the cause of their demise in a very telling interview.

We’re guessing “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” peach Claudia Jordan didn’t hear about the Mimi Faust sex tape scandal because she may be facing the same controversy. According to reports, Claudia’s ex, Joel Randall, is threatening to release a steamy video of the reality star.

Randall told RadarOnline, the tape was filmed in the Dominican Republic on Jordan’s iPad. It’s very coincidental that this tape would pop up after NeNe called her a “slut” and said she slept with all of Hollywood.

“There are three separate tapes of one particular evening,” Randell said. “After the reported ‘robbery’ of her laptop from her car last week, it became clear to me that Claudia is likely planning to leak the tapes,” he added. “The car break-in was staged. She would never in a million years leave her laptop in her car unattended. She’s on her laptop constantly, and she has way too much personal information on it. She’s probably planning to leak it to bolster her storyline on RHOA.”

Hmph. We’ll just have to wait and see about this one.

Halle Berry is over her husband’s temper…so sources connected to the Academy Award winning actress claim. According to reports, Halle gave Oliver an ultimatum — get help or get out — after he was caught on video hitting an airport employee with their 1-year-old son’s car seat.

“I think she’ll leave if Olivier doesn’t clean up his act,” the source said. “The incident embarrassed her […] Halle is telling friends she worries that Olivier’s runaway temper could put her kids at risk.”

In case you forgot, Oliver has a history of violence. Remember he attacked her baby’s father leaving him with severe black eyes and broken rib.

All of these violent outbursts leave us worried for Halle, but we ain’t gon’ start nothing now.
