ESPN.com reports that longtime anchor, Stuart Scott passed away Sunday morning at the age of 49. Stuart Scott has been battling cancer for the past seven years and last year he accepted the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance with strength, humor, grace and these words according to ESPN: “When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live , and in the manner in which you live.”
He leaves behind two daughters, Taelor, 19 and Sydni, 15, and a public who loved him. He will be missed.
