Minnesota Timberwolves v Los Angeles Clippers

I think it’s safe to say, it’s a little too late to try to repair what’s left of Donald Sterling‘s reputation.

According to TMZ, the disgraced former owner of the Los Angeles Clippers plans to hand out presents at today’s ninth annual “Party in the Projects” holiday event at the Watts Housing Projects in Los Angeles.

The 80-year-old businessman reached out to the event’s organizers, Youth Mentoring Kids, and offered to pass out gifts to underprivileged children in person.

The gesture, whatever the reason for it, is unlikely to make anyone forget the recordings of Sterling’s racist rants that were released in April of this year.

Following release of the audio, the ex-owner was banned for life by the NBA and forced to sell the Clippers, which he had owned since 1981, to former Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer in August.
