Nominees for the 72nd Golden Globe Awards have been announced Thursday morning. Some of your favorite actors and projects have been given nods. Here’s how ‘Black Hollywood’ fared in the recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association:  The motion picture “Selma“–a drama that tells the story of Rev. Martin L. King Jr. and the 1965 campaign to secure voting rights in Selma, Ala., including the bloody march that changed America–received several nominations including Best Picture – Drama category; a historic nomination for Best Director in a Motion Picture for Ava DuVernay–a first for a female African-American director; Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama category for David Oyelowo, who portrays King in the film; and Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for the John Legend/Common collaboration on “Glory.”  Other categories to watch are Best Performance By An Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical category for Quevenzhane’ Wallis, and Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or TV Movie category for Uzo Aduba in “Orange Is The New Black.”  The 2015 awards show will be televised on Sunday, Jan. 11 on NBC.
