Singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams says he had pretty humble thoughts at the start of his entertainment career.
The “Happy” singer’s career took another high note Thursday as his star was unveiled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Williams says music has been the “skeleton key” that has allowed him to open other doors in the entertainment world like movies and television. He says the last two years especially have been an emotional high and says he owes a great many people for his accomplishments, including the fans that have followed him through the years. Williams began his career as one half of The Neptunes and was also a member of the alt-rock/hip-hop group N.E.R.D. He has either sung on or helped create such musical hits as Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” Nelly’s “Hot in Herre, and Britney Spears’ “I’m A Slave 4 U.” He currently is featured as a coach on NBC’s “The Voice.”
