Vibe Mag Obama CoverA change has been announced to yet another of your favorite magazines –if you’re a music junkie that is. “Vibe” magazine is going out of print.  According to CapitalNewYork.com, “Vibe’s” parent company, Spin Media, has decided to cancel the magazine print publication, but the magazine will live on in the digital space. Journalists and other media staffers took a hit in this change too. The company just let go of 19 workers at “Vibe,” they say, in part because they were drawing resources from the efforts to grow the magazine’s digital side. “Vibe” was founded by Quincy Jones in 1993 and was bought by Spin Media last year. Spin Media had since operated the magazine as a quarterly instead of bi-monthly publication. To read more on the digital transition of “Vibe” magazine, click HERE.
