The National Weather Service confirmed that the devastating tornado that touched down in Plainfield and Indianapolis on Tuesday afternoon was an EF-1. That twister destroyed at least 75 homes with the NWS reporting the worst damage in Hendricks County near County Road 200 South and County Road 1050 East.  The tornado then tracked northeast through the Brentwood subdivision and into Indy at the Cameron Meadows subdivision.  No one was hurt in this weather event, however the agency responsible for monitoring and warning about bad business practices has some tips to help those affected remain unhurt by scammers.
