Sullivan and Son on TBS is back for it’s third season, which means Roy Wood, Jr. still has a job. This year, Wood, Jr. says that Loretta Devine plays his mom.
“The white people pulled out their paycheck,” Wood says. He’s now left his hometown of Birmingham from Los Angeles and he says it’s totally different.
“I’m from Alabama. We got three Mexicans in the whole city. Out that West Coast, the Latinos be deep. I don’t know what they’re saying to me. I just keep walking. Then the gangs want to murder you. Everybody mad at the color of your shirt. I’m in my 30’s. At this point I should be able to wear a blue T-shirt. I’m grown. Gon’ ask me what hood I’m claiming. I’m claiming adulthood.”
Sullivan and Son airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
