We may not see the last of Barbara Walters after she retires tomorrow (Friday May 15). The iconic journalist made sure to say “a bientot”, which is French for “see you later” rather than goodbye at her star-studded retirement party Wednesday night.

TheWrap.com reported that Walters comforted fans and let them know that a comeback isn’t completely out of the question. “Who knows what the future brings?”

Woody Allen, Joan Rivers and her “The View” co-host as well as “Good Morning America” anchors were just some of the guests at the event. Walters was joined by all 11 present and former “The View” co-host for the show earlier this morning, marking the first time in history they have all sat at the oversized hot topics table together. Her celebration will continue tomorrow for a special airing of “The View” as well as a two hour special that features some of the best highlights of her 60 year career.
