What a beautiful start to the weekend. A Mother’s Day weekend at that. Check out some of events listed below, some are free and others are not too expensive to keep money in your pocket as summer is fast approaching.
- Gates opened at 7am at IMS, Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a celebration of Automobiles. Races going on all day plus the IMS Kids zone opens at 10am and runs til 5pm and the race begins at 3:30pm. For more information click on www.ims.com/ or give them a call at 317.492.8500.

- Free, free and FREE!! That’s right with the Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day on Monument Circle. Indy’s largest outdoor festival for kids with games, activities and much more. - Part of the Inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis presents Indy Lights Warm-up at the Motor Speedway at 10am. Plus a lot of other activities continuing up until the start of the race. Plus there’s a kids area if the kids get restless while the race is on.
- It’s the 9th Annual Southport Street Fair in Marion County. Visit the art show, shop, live entertainment plus kids games and more at this one day event at City Park. For more details on this free event click on www.southportevents.org/.
