The main suspect in a recent fatal hit-and-run is now in police custody. IMPD says William Edwards turned himself in Thursday night, several hours after he allegedly struck a car near 34th Street and Georgetown Road. Edwards was arrested after family members took him to Eskenazi Hospital. He wasn’t injured, but was reportedly making “erratic and inconsistent statements to them about what happened.”
