Two of Chicago’s best are coming together to work on new music and we can’t wait to hear it!
Hitmakers, Jennifer Hudson and R. Kelly have been collaborating on some new songs for Hudson’s forthcoming album.
The Dreamgirls star broke the news in a recent interview, saying she has already spent time working with The R and fellow hit maker Timbaland.
Hudson says she’ll introduce a new side of herself on this album with music that is cool and so different from what we’re used to hearing.
“I’m not going to say I discovered anything, but I’m introducing a new side of me… I call her Jones. That’s Jones, that’s not Jennifer. It’s so different, it’s really cool, and the music is, too. I love the energy. I got to work with Timbaland, and Pharrell, and R. Kelly,” Hudson told The Huffington Post of her music video for “I Can’t Describe” and forthcoming album.
According to Hudson, there is no set release date for the album, though it could arrive sometime this Spring.
“I think it’s going to come out in the spring, there’s no official date yet. We’re literally still in the studio recording, I was just there a day ago,” said Hudson.
