Education First! 'T.I & Tiny: The Family Hustle' [RECAP]

T.I and Tiny had their hands full on this week’s episode. While Tip was busy trying to instill the value of eduction into the heads of Domani and King who’s report cards were less than stellar, Tiny was busy working with her new girl group, French Kiss, and trying to get them to reach super star status. The only problem was that the girls of French Kiss couldn’t stop arguing long enough to get any work done.

School First

After Tip took a look at King and Domani’s report cards, he decided to shut turn their summer vacation into summer school. There would be no failures in the Harris family! Tip hired Niq Niq’s old tutor, Nicole, to help King and Domani with their school work. The tutor immediately got down to business and drilled them on all of their school work. When it came time to study for their big test, King and Domani figured out another study method that was sure to work. This one they’ve properly called, “punch you in the nuts” meaning that if they got any of their vocabulary wrong, Major had permission to punch them in the nuts! Of course, Major was excited over this opportunity to punch his big brothers and took it upon himself to punch King even when he got the answer right! Major must have been planning this revenge for quite some time now!

Girl Group Drama

Tiny was busy working with her girl group, French Kiss, and trying to turn them into superstars like the success of the OMG Girlz (by the way, where are the OMG Girlz anyway?). You would think that Tiny had the bug for producing great girl group talent but for some reason this group couldn’t quite get it together. For starters, Ale (pronounced Ali and not like Ginger Ale) kept missing rehearsals which was taking a toll on the other girls. Ale’s absence is what caused a lot of arguments between the group that Tiny always has to fix. She explained that arguing was typical for girl groups and that was how things with her own group, Xscape, were. She tried to tell the girls to keep the fighting to a minimum but it didn’t look like these ladies were going to be holding hands and singing “Kumbaya” anytime soon.

Final Test

Finally it was time for King and Domani to show Tip what all they have learned since studying with Nicole. When Domani is asked to use the word “amateur” in a sentence, he said, “When it comes to this rap game, you are an amateur!” Not sure if Domani was attempting to throw shade on his pops or if he really didn’t understand the meaning of the word. Either way, Tip didn’t find that sentence very funny but continued to test his sons anyway. Tip then asked King and Domani to define a few other words and the boys finally pass the test and were able to get their lives back!
