Ladies are doing it for themselves and getting some serious loot!
Forbes’ recently published their list of the Highest-Paid TV Actresses. ‘Modern Family’s Sophia Vergara took the top spot for the second year in a row, pulling in $30 million. The 41 year-old Colombian has a bevy of bilingual endorsement deals, including a clothing line at K-Mart and spokeswoman duties for Diet Pepsi and Covergirl, among others.
It’s worth noting that many of the actresses in the upper ranks of the list, including Tina Fey of ’30 Rock’, Mindy Kaling of ‘The Mindy Project’ and Lena Dunham of ‘GIRLS’ are also show creators and/or writers.
Other notables on the list include The Kardashian sisters at 6-8, pulling in $10 million a year for ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, Courtney Cox at #17, who brought in $6 million for ‘Cougar Town’ .
…and yes, Gladiators… everyone’s favorite ‘SCANDAL’ous fixer, Kerry Washington, cracked the list at #20, bringing in a cool $3 million for her role as Olivia Pope.
