Four Shot In Broad Ripple Overnight

Metro Police confirms, Four people were shot in Broad Ripple overnight.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. when a group of people were fighting outside The Vogue Theatre near 62nd Street and College Avenue.

The four victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and one suspect was taken into custody. We’ll update you on this story as soon as new information comes in.

 

IMPD Searching For Wanted Murder Suspect 

Detectives have asked for the public’s help to find a suspect wanted on several charges including murder.

IMPD Officers obtained an arrest warrant formally charging 30-year-old Dante Nichols with murder, battery and a violent felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say they had tracked down several leads, but had not been able to find Nichols.

Anyone with information about his whereabout’s is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.

 

 

1 In Hospital After Golf Cart Crash

One person remains in critical condition following a golf cart crash in MorganCounty.  Police say five nurses were injured at Bradford Woods Thursday afternoon when the cart rolled onto its side.  The nurses were staff members who were caring for campers that are fighting cancer.

 

Butler’s Blue Two Not Returning

Blue Two will likely not return to the Butler University campus.  The beloved mascot posted on his blog Thursday that he has irreversible heart failure.  Blue Two served as Butler’s mascot for nine-years before retiring in May and handing over the reigns to his “brother” Trip.
