Kanye West is notoriously private and against the paparazzi invading his space. He’s been especially on edge lately, and he allegedly took a few swings at a photographer who was asking too many questions on July 19.

Kanye allegedly asked an “especially aggressive” photographer not to ask him any questions upon his arrival at LAX Airport on July 19. Kanye then allegedly “attacked, attempting several punches” when the photographer continued to probe, according to TMZ.

The extent of the photographer’s injuries are not immediately clear in this developing story, though paramedics were called to the scene immediately following the alleged incident.

LA lawyer Mychal Wilson tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that it’s unlikely Kanye will get in too much trouble over the incident.

“Kanye West’s lawyer will argue that Kanye was probably defending himself against continual and unwanted advances by the paparazzi,” Mychal said. “It is highly doubtful that Kanye would go to jail for something like this, but I am sure the victim will sue him for damages.”

The Los Angeles Airport Police released the following statement about the incident:

Today at approximately 2:00 p.m., at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (on the arrival level curbside), Los Angeles Airport Police officers were flagged down by a citizen (photographer) who alleged that he was taking pictures of an individual when he was battered by the subject.  The alleged subject was not at the location nor was he observed by officers at the scene.  LAFD was notified, responded to the location and transported the victim  to a local hospital for medical attention.  A police report was taken by the Los Angeles Police Department and the investigation is ongoing.
