The vehicle collision happened just after noon on Friday, near Tara Boulevard and Dixon Road. The wreck, according to Jonesboro Police officer Franklin Allen, involved a van and a car. The car burst into flames on impact.

Blaylock and one other woman were both airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center. She is in critical condition.

Blaylock was an All-Star in 1994 with the Atlanta Hawks, who he played seven seasons for. He began his career as the No. 12 overall pick out of Oklahoma in the 1989 NBA draft for the New Jersey Nets, whom he played three seasons for. Blaylock retired with the Golden State Warriors, whom he also played three years for, after 13 NBA seasons. He averaged 13.5 points, 6.7 assists and 2.3 steals over 889 games.
