For the first time in eight weeks, the price at the gas pump is higher. The latest Lundburg Survey shows the average price for a gallon of regular rose zero-point-84 cents in the past two weeks to three-54 per gallon on May 3rd. The increase comes amid rising crude-oil prices, as well as increased demand of the peak summer driving months.

Chicago, Illinois has the nation’s most expensive gas, at four-28 a gallon. The cheapest gas is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where prices average three-20 per gallon.
