Real Chance of Love” star Ahmad “Real” Givens has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, TMZ reports.
The reality star first became ill in January with what he believed to be the flu. Doctors initially thought the issue was with his liver, but last week confirmed it was colon cancer, which has now spread to his lungs and liver.
Real will remain hospitalized while doctors consider treatment options.
Since his diagnosis, other VH1 stars have shared their well wishes on Twitter.
“Just talked to ‘Chance’ he told me to tell the world to pray for his bro ‘Real’ he has stage 4 colon cancer! Pls send out a prayer for him!,” Ray J tweeted.
When a fan asked Tiffany “New York” Pollard if she’d reached out to Real, she wrote, “I just found out. I jus spoke 2him 3weeks ago. My prayers go out to him and his family. He has a relationship with God, he’s gonna b ok.”
After appearing on Pollard’s dating series “I Love New York,” Real was later offered his own dating show, “Real Chance of Love,” with his brother Kamal “Chance” Givens.
