Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show “Anderson Live”  has been cancelled after two seasons. The 45-year-old CNN anchor launched his own talk show in Fall 2011.

The ratings were surprisingly less than impressive with an average of 1.45 million viewers; putting it behind daytime heavyweights like Dr. Phil, Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and newcomer Steve Harvey. Advertising followed suit not bringing in very much revenue.

The show tried switching it up this season changing the name from “Anderson” to “Anderson Live,” having a live studio audience and featured celebrity guest co-hosts ranging from KeKe Palmer to Tamar Braxton. But in the end the network decided not to renew “Anderson Live” for a third season.

Warner Brothers released a statement saying:

We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced.

Anderson seems to be staying optimistic about it as well. The silver fox we love to love said:

“I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity,” Anderson said. “I am indebted to the audience, who have responded so positively.”

“I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, but I have truly enjoyed it.

“Anderson Live” will wrap up in the summer of 2013. He will continue his nightly newscast, Anderson 360, on CNN.

Next season, Warner Bros. will debut  “Bethenny,” starring “Real Housewives” alum Bethenny Frankel.

Will YOU miss “Anderson Live?”
