As the reality show world (and Chad Johnson‘s career) turns, VH1 has had a change of heart about their two newest spin-off. The network just sent out a statement yesterday confirming that “Ev & Ocho” has officially gotten the boot!

In a statement from VH1, the reality series “Ev & Ocho,” which was set to premiere in September, has been axed.  The statement reads:

“Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.”

In addition, the 911 calls made [by the concerned neighbor whose home Evelyn went to after the altercation] were released yesterday. Johnson allegedly head-butted Lozada during an argument over a condom receipt. Less than two days later, he was cut from the Miami Dolphins.

In the midst of Lozada dealing with the aftermath of a domestic violence incident with Chad Johnson, her husband of 6 weeks, we have learned that the reality star has been hit with ANOTHER blow.

TMZ reports that Lozada is mourning the death of her beloved brother-in-law, Anthony Ochoa, who passed away last night after a long battle with cancer.  Ochoa, who was married to Lozada’s sister Sylvia, was very close to Lozada.  Lozada mentioned their close relationship several times on her show “Basketball Wives,” and Ochoa even made appearances on the show.  The two were so close that, just last month, it was Ochoa, not Lozada’s father, who walked her down the isle.
