Yesterday, Golden State Warriors guard Charlie Bell arrived to 67th District Court in his hometown of Flint, MI for an Oct. 21st drunk driving arrest. A problem arose however when Bell was, uh, drunk. No really, the former Michigan State standout showed up for a court appointment wasted blowing a .09.

You can’t make this stuff up folks.

Bell was held, in a district court holding cell, on a bond violation until he sobered up.

He’s expected back in court Friday morning.

His attorney Michael Manley tells ABC12, Bell takes full responsibility for what happened, adding there was a definite sanction for his actions.

It stands to reason that showing up drunk for any kind of court appointment is inappropriate, more so when the appointment itself involves a drunk driving arrest.

In somewhat related news, Bell’s wife, Kenya, a former Miss Michigan, will appear on Basketball Wives in February. If you recall, last year, Kenya made headlines after trying to stab Charlie with a boxcutter. So, yea, kinda understandable that the dude is drunk all the time.
