The Fix: Pacers Win, Diddy Drama, & Obama’s nod of approval
Pacers did it again!!! Game 1 of the Finals had us on the edge of our seats. They didn’t lead once until Tyrese Haliburton hit that ice-cold game-winner with just 0.3 seconds left—talk about clutch! After 19 turnovers in the first half, Indy turned it all the way up in the fourth. Mathurin, Siakam, the whole squad showed up, and now we’re up 1–0! Game 2’s Sunday—this storm is just gettin’ started!
Meanwhile, in the courtroom—Diddy’s trial is heating up. The judge just warned his team: if Diddy keeps interacting with jurors, he could be kicked out of court. Graphic designer Bryana Bongolan testified he once dangled her off a balcony, and another ex described being pressured into what she called “freak offs.” Diddy’s team is pushing back, but with five charges, the pressure is real.
And finally—Barack Obama is speaking out about his daughter Malia dropping the family name for her film work. He’s proud she’s carving out her own legacy—and says the name may be gone, but her values are still strong.
That’s The Fix—I’m Karen Vaughn
