What’s the Spanish lyric in Stevie Wonder’s hit song?

Stevie Wonder‘s iconic song “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing” from his 1973 album Innervisions features a Spanish lyric at the beginning, “Todo está bien chévere,” which translates to “Everything’s really great.” Wonder, who admitted to not speaking much Spanish, explained that the words were inspired by a Puerto Rican woman he met while recording the song. Despite his limited Spanish skills, the song became a hit and also led to a romantic connection with the woman who provided the phrase. Wonder’s global musical inspiration and personal experiences shine through in this Latin-infused classic.
