Nelly arrested on active warrant; ecstasy pills found during search

TMX reports Nelly was taken into custody in St. Louis for having ecstasy in his possession and not having insurance.

Nelly, whose real name is Cornell I. Haynes Jr., was leaving the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights near St. Louis at around 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday when he was stopped for ID verification by the Missouri Gaming Commission. He was subsequently arrested for a previous warrant he had under his name for failure to obtain car insurance.

Nelly was arrested for the active warrant, and he was searched. That’s when 4 Ecstasy pills were found on his person, according to the Highway Patrol.
