J.C. Penney will no longer sell major appliances. The struggling department store chain announced Wednesday the change is effective February 28th. In a blog post, J.C. Penney also said that furniture will soon be available only online as it shifts its focus to categories like apparel, curtains and bedding. J.C. Penney previously said it plans to close several stores this spring. So if you’re in need of an appliance, this would be the time to get you something.
