Wall Street Rally Sends Dow Soaring To 1,000+ Gain
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is chalking up a single-day record with a more than one-thousand point gain. A post-Christmas rally on Wall Street sent the Dow soaring nearly five percent, or 1,086 points, to 22-878. The Nasdaq gained nearly six percent, or 361 points, to 65-54. The S&P 500 gained 117 points to 24-68. Shares of tech giants like Amazon, Apple and Google were among the biggest gainers during Wednesday’s session. Markets surged as retailers posted strong holiday sales and all three major indexes regained losses from Monday’s big meltdown.
