The numbers for the first two days of holiday shopping are in and they show some disturbing trends for brick-and-mortar stores.  More Americans are shopping online and skipping the crowds at the malls.  Sales online are up, while sales at traditional retail stores are down.  Adobe Analytics tracks transactions at 80 of the top 100 U.S. retailers.  It said online sales are up 23 percent after more than six-billion-dollars was spent on Black Friday.  RetailNext however said that sales at brick-and-mortar stores fell between four to seven percent over the same two days last year.  Americans are expected to spend up to 720 billion dollars this holiday season.
