With six weeks before the midterm elections voter enthusiasm is at its highest level for a midterm election in more than two decades.  The Pew Research Center study found that 72 percent of registered voters say that which party will control Congress is going to be a factor in their vote.  Democrats hold a ten-point lead over Republicans in a generic ballot.  If the election were today, 52 percent of registered voters said they would vote for the Democrat.  Only 42 percent said they will vote for the Republican.  Two-thirds of Democratic voters say they are more enthusiastic than usual about voting.  That number is 59 percent for Republicans.
