The U.S. government is suspending its Haitian deportation policy in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. Thousands of Haitians who live in the United States are at risk of being deported due to a recent policy change. The policy has been suspended due to the storm which took the lives of around a thousand people in Haiti. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson says that once the situation in Haiti has been taken care of, the U.S. will reinstate the deportation policy.
