Emmy Award winning actress Cicely Tyson turns 82 today. She won Emmys for her work in “The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman” and “The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All.” She has also starred in moves such as “The Help,” “Idlewild,” “Madea’s Family Reunion,” “Diary of a Mad Black Woman,” “Because of Winn-Dixie,” “Fried Green Tomatoes,” “The Women of Brewster Place,” “Sounder,” and the miniseries “Roots.”
