A neighborhood in Utah has come up with a way to keep thieves from stealing packages from their front porches.  It all started when residents in South Jordan took to Facebook to vent about their mail packages getting stolen, even after setting up surveillance cameras on their homes.  That’s when one neighbor came up with the idea of placing fake packages on their porches.  The boxes have Amazon labels on them, and some are filled with old TVs or rocks.  The idea has since spread to nearby neighborhoods.  Even though police don’t mind the idea, they still encourage folks to use surveillance video to help them catch the thieves.

Would you consider putting a fake package on your doorstep?
