Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is the top bidder for a drum set played by Ringo Starr.  According to Julien’s Auctions, Irsay paid over two-million dollars for the set that Ringo used in more than 200 of the Beatles’ performances in the early 1960s.  Starr played the three-piece set on some of the Beatles’ early hits including “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “She Loves You” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”  The drum set hasn’t been seen in public for more than 50 years.

Irsay is an avid Beatles fan and already owns guitars used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison.
