The Cincinnati Bengals have released defensive tackle Devon Still.  Still has been one of the NFL’s most heartwarming stories as his daughter Leah’s fight with cancer earned the nation’s attention last fall.  Five-year-old Leah went into remission in March after receiving stem cell treatments and multiple rounds of chemotherapy.  Still was also cut last season at the final cut deadline before being placed on the practice squad, and later promoted to the active roster where he appeared in 12 games for the Bengals last year.  He is no longer eligible for the practice squad.  Even though Still is a free agent, he is covered under the NFL’s health insurance for the next five years, as is Leah.

Best of luck to Devon in catching on to another NFL team.
