The Cast of the next 007 is up in the air right now and has been for the past couple of years. Idris Elba was mention to play James Bond and fans were happy to hear that he would be playing the role except for a author who made a very offensive statement.  Anthony Horowitz, author of the novel “Trigger Mortis,” basically said he could not see Elba playing the role as James Bond because he is “too street.”

“For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”

Horowitz received backlash for the comment he made so he apologize. Check out his apology below.
