30-year old rapper, song writer and producer, T-Pain is best know for his use of auto-tune, but the hit maker displayed his Auto-Tune-less vocal talents on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Series this week.
….And, he sounds GREAT!
“People felt like I was using it to sound good,” T-Pain said about the Auto-Tune addiction that made him rich and famous. “But I was just using it to sound different.”
During the mini-concert T-Pain performed versions of ‘Buy U a Drank’, ‘Up Down’, and ‘Drankin’ Patna’ with only pure, unprocessed vocals.
“This is weird as hell for me,” T-Pain explained.
