Run D.M.C. rapper Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels will receive special honors at this year’s induction ceremony for the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. The pioneering emcee is set to receive this year’s Harry Chapin Award. Darryl was previously inducted into the hall along with the other members of Run-D.M.C back in 2006. During the October 23rd ceremony, rapper Kurtis Blow will be inducted to the hall, as well as producer Steve Thompson, who has worked with acts such as Wu-Tang Clan and Public Enemy.

The induction ceremony will take place at the Paramount in Huntington, New York.
