Speculations on Frank Vogel’s tenure with the Indiana Pacers are officially squashed as the head coach was signed a multi-year contract extension on Wednesday.
Vogel led Indiana to a 56-26 record last season and a second consecutive Central Division title, but his job security was questioned during the playoffs when the top-seeded Pacers struggled to beat Atlanta and Washington in the first two rounds before finally falling to Miami in the conference finals for a second straight year. Pacers president Larry Bird said in June that Vogel’s job was never in jeopardy. The Pacers are 167-100 in three-plus seasons under Vogel, going 28-25 in the postseason over that span.
And now, bring on the season..
