Chilli isn’t worried about TLC’s ex-manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid’s $40 million lawsuit against Viacom.
In the TLC made for TV movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story that aired on VH1 earlier this year, Pebbles was portrayed as a shady manager who manipulated the young TLC and stole millions from them. During an interview with our friends over at Bossip Chilli said Pebbles’ lawsuit has no ground because they didn’t lie about their dealings with her.
In court documents Pebbles claims Viacom “ignored fundamental canons of journalistic and literary conduct by publishing false and defamatory accusations with actual malice.” She also insists she “never controlled TLC’s lawyers or accountants, never withheld contract terms from TLC and always paid the group what they were owed.”
