Via The Pew Global Attitudes Project and a survey of 40 countries, it’s apparent that there’s some discrepancy around the world when it comes to certain moral issues, especially where sex is concerned. Click on over to Vox for some cool, color-coded maps that visually depict opinions on premarital sex, cheating, and more, but here are a few general highlights:
On premarital sex: Most African and some Asian countries deem it unacceptable. Europeans and Canadians are cool with it, but Americans? We’re pretty split.
On cheating: Pretty much everyone thinks extramarital affairs are unacceptable, except for people in France. To be fair, they probably do have more time on their hands to cheat while they’re not checking their work email after 6 p.m.
