MORNING NEWS…

Three incidents have impacted area children and their families.

A man accused of inappropriately touching two children at the Columbus Wal-Mart is facing charges. Police say on Sunday, Jeffrey Brock grabbed a seven-year-old girl in the shoe department and later grabbed an eight-year-old girl while their parents were just feet away. The second girl’s parents tackled Brock in the store and held him down until police arrived.

A 15-year-old girl is now recovering from a gunshot wound to her buttocks.  IMPD says details are sketchy, but they know this was not a random shooting. Police said she may have even shot herself.  The teenager, whose identity is not being released because she is a minor, was taken to Riley Hospital for Children Monday evening in good condition.

And finally a loaded weapon at school has one local high school student in hot water. A student at Ben Davis High School is suspended and is now facing expulsion for having a loaded gun on campus. Officials say there’s no indication that the gun was going to be used. The student was arrested Monday.
