HJR-3 Moves To Full House
A gay marriage ban proposed for Indiana’s constitution is now approved. A panel of 13 lawmakers in the House voted in favor of the measure Wednesday. Representative Timothy Wesco said, quote, “Marriage is between a man and a woman and I believe the people of Indiana are demanding a right to vote on the amendment.” The vote on HJR-3 was 9 to 3. The measure could get to the House floor as early as Thursday for a second reading.
