*Evander Holyfield’s son is coming to his father’s defense against remarks the boxer made about homosexuals on UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother.”
As previously reported, Holyfield told a housemate Sunday that being gay is like being handicapped, because a doctor can fix both. He was immediately chastised by fellow houseguests as well as show producers.
Ewin Holyfield tells TMZ that his father is not a bigot. “My dad is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet. He treats everyone like a human being … even if they are homosexual.”
Ewin added that he has a gay uncle, and Evander treated him like a brother.
“My dad feels that being gay is a choice,” Ewin said. “And naturally that’s how things work. You cannot procreate and make a baby with two women, or two men. But at the same time, my dad is not going to judge someone for their sexual orientation.”
