Celebrities are taking to their Twitter to express their sadness and condolences for the tragic passing of the great and iconic Nelson Mandela.

It is no secret Mandela was a movement within himself as he pushed for equality like none other before.

President Obama said, “He no longer belongs to us. He belongs to the ages.”

 

 

Filmmaker and actor Tyler Perry wrote, “There were only 3 people that I wanted to meet in life, Nelson Mandela was one of them. What a life, what a journey, what a man. Thank you for passing this way! God bless your resting soul!” He also posted a picture of the two together.

 

 

 

 

Comedian Kevin Hart also said, “The definition of Strength is “Nelson Mandela” #RIP, #GREATNESS, #ICON  

Gospel singer Byron Cage revealed that he is in South Africa and is shocked by news, “Wow. I am in Jburg South Africa, and woke up to only find out that President Nelson Mandela has died. What a GREAT AND HONORABLE MAN.”

Chuck D. wrote, “To recognize what Nelson Mandela DID for our RIGHTS to FIGHT wrong simply means building a human bridge across EARTH.”
