Identify the Things that Went Wrong

First, identify the problem and particularly, the not-so-obvious things. It’s time to look around to see where, why and how things started to go wrong. Go for a walk and ask yourself some questions:

Find answers to these questions and let those answers guide you on how to talk with your partner. Get your partner to a serious talk with you. Talk about those things you have discovered and share your insights in this conversation.

But make sure that you also talk about the positive things that you and your partner had experienced together. Tell your spouse how much the relationship has changed you for the better.

Decide What It Is that Needs Fixing

After the talk it’s good for both of you to have space and time to think alone. Schedule another talk with your spouse with the purpose of coming up with a decision.

Start Over Again

The next step is to start over again. It’s not an easy thing to do, especially if the problems to confront are really huge. But the challenge may not be that hard to beat if you will really work it out hand in hand. There’s nothing that can stop you from saving your relationship if love is truly there. Just forget the things of the past and make a brand new start.

Bridge the Gap in Communication to Save Your Relationship

Start getting interested with the personal things that each of you do. Open up to your partner and talk about your own personal longings, desire, dreams, and feelings. Speak out when necessary and don’t let your partner guess what you are thinking. Let the other person know that he or she matters to you.
