The internet is on fire talking about Dave Chappelle’s performance for a hostile crowd in Connecticut tonight.
Chappelle is four dates into the Oddball Comedy Festival he is headlining. Tonight, he met a crowd that wouldn’t quiet down long enough for him to get into his routine.
Chappelle reacted by basically shutting down onstage, letting the audience know how much time was left and that he had every intention of leaving, making idle chatter, smoking, and even reading from a book authored by someone in the audience. (Mack Momma got a BIG PLUG).
Youtube user Josh Z posted the last 12 minutes of Chappelle’s show. The first clip begins with the comedian recounting working with Richard Pryor when he had become ill with multiple sclerosis.

The second clip includes Chappelle basically running out the clock to fulfill his time commitment and walking off the stage.

Instagram user DarrenKramer posted what is purported to be Chappelle’s exit. The comedian asked the DJ to play ‘New Slaves’ by Kanye West and walked off the stage.
Looks like Dave has REALLY had about enough….
